A New Season

The leaves no longer look like this, in vibrant colors of red and orange. In fact, the trees in my area have no leaves whatsoever, and so far, they have not even a coating of snow.
Whatever the trees in your area look like-

A Lovely Hint

Hint for the previous post's game:
What do RUN, ARE RUNNING, CAN, WINK, DO, ARE BEING EATEN, and DRIVE have in common other than being in all capital letters?

A Perfectly Reasonable Statement

For I could not bring myself to survive in a land like Fahrenheit 451's, and certainly would have been burned for contraband material.

A Title Post

So caliginous a night...

Coldday

There is nothing better than a pair of slippers when one's feet are habitually chilled.
With ever so much love, hoping my readers understand my title's play on words (think: a popular band),

An, Australian, Austria, Autumn

I've been pondering words beginning with A, and I've recently found a new band that starts with the letter. Angus & Julia Stone are a brother/sister group with a sound not unlike Lana del Ray, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, or The Fray.
Their songs are- speaking hyperbolically, of course- to die for.
Speaking of figures of speech, I saw a t-shirt in a magazine stating:
"I AVOID CLICHES LIKE THE PLAGUE."
If this made my lovely readers laugh, if they have clever wordplay to share, or if they've found a precious but obscure band, please comment.

Another NYC

If a reader ever happens to be out and about near Times Square in New York City, I will highly recommend purchasing a ticket for the Broadway show "Chaplin". It will exceed all expectations, and do not worry if you are the youngest attendee- especially if you choose a matinee.

Colors Will Not Fade.... Or....

Has anyone tuned in to this delicious love triangle yet? Comment if you're just as entwined in the series as I am...

A Serious Debate

Any of my fair readers challenging themselves with NaNoWriMo?

Library Stairs

A Half-Past Nine in NY

If NYC is the ever famed city that never sleeps, its close neighbor Elizabeth, New Jersey, is the city that watches the city that never sleeps. As we are staying in the New York City Relief volunteer headquarters on church camp style bunk beds, the eclectic authoress has had had several impressions of this lesser known neighbor of the Big Apple.
1. It's charming.
The houses along the center are rustic and antique, painted mint tones as well as pale yellow. It is pastels and fire escapes to the fullest and best.
2. The residents do not drive in a way I am accustomed to.
There is much honking of horns and swerving of vehicles and broken seat belts. The first ride is really quite full of fear.
And that, dear readers, is the city without a catchy title- but still manages to be splendid.

My Future Home

Visiting all those perfect setting in books- the Wizarding World, Panem, Narnia- would complete a life like none other. And here some lovely being has made us a map of them. I simply have to thank this anonymous.

Alas, a Discontinue-ment!

I am in despair to inform you that Uncommon Lovelies will no longer be hosting that delightful favorite, 365 Days of Tableau, due to excessive backup in posts. Dear friends, do not be alarmed, for this pristine site shall continue on with words and pictures, though not perhaps in a daily fashion.
Thank you.
With love, the eclectic authoress.

A Favorite Lovely or Three

These things, without a doubt, represent my favorites of the online world of lovelies. I believe I have mentioned modcloth.com before, as I find it a most gratifying source of vintage clothing. That is where the first picture, the jumper, hails from. The other two photographs belong to urbanoutfitters.com, which collects an immense collection of uncommon lovelies.
*uncommonlovelies.blogspot.com is not affliated with modcloth or urban outfitters in any way, shape, or form, but simply finds them a vast source of entertainment and lovelies galore.
