I suppose some of you have noticed the new format of Uncommon Lovelies. Please tell me what you think- is it easier or harder to use? Is it prettier or less appealing?

A Country, a Continent
My dear readers:
Would any of you think it odd that most of my readers hail from a country that I do not live in?
I am, however, incredibly flattered.

A Downton Demise
I have just finished watching the last episode of season three of Downton Abbey, and am writing this in tears. I am planning, also, how to murder Julian Fellows (the writer) and make it look like an accident.
Not to worry, my dears, I'm only joking. But if I do ever meet the creator of Downton, he will not come away unscathed.

A Song a Second
The song currently playing over and over again in my head is You & I by Ingrid Michaelson. Please enjoy!

I Apologize
I'm very sorry for the disturbance, bit I must speak again on Downton Abbey. In Mary's words to Edith, paraphrased:
"The only person who always thought the two of us were nice is gone."
Why? Why do they do this to us, us who are emotionally invested?

A Bussed Return
I have, dear readers, returned from my trip to a very chilly state. It did not, I believe, cease snowing from the moment we arrived. How glad I am to be back in temperate weathers!
Please, my dears, forgive the lapse in posts and the brevity of this. I am, regrettably, quite exhausted, and will soon be retiring to my room with many blankets, a new book, and a cup of tea.

The Age of the Morning
Tonight, the eclectic authoress will find herself on a bus trip that might last until two in the morning. She understands that her dear readers might find themselves in a similar situation one day, and has decided to grant advice.
1. Bring music
This may be your only way to sleep. If you are unable to decide which music to bring, please visit my post "A Recommendation". It has quite a large range.
2. Sleep
Bring a sleep mask, and a music device. And, possibly, a blanket.
3. Watch movies.
If your bus is the type to have televisions, do bring a film or two. I suggest classics like "Finding Nemo", "Toy Story", and "The Princess Diaries". While possibly unacceptable for any other setting, they are most definitely bus trip movies.
4. Read
I'd suggest either something huge that people will be too scared to ask you about, like Jane Eyre, or something fluffy that you can half concentrate on and still talk with those around you.
5. Play cards
Perhaps KEMPS? That's a very good road trip game.

The Question of the Hour
Why must research papers, particularly those concerning science, be so difficult and so dull?

A Paleolithic Find?
While visiting my library, as I do often on Saturdays, I came across a book by Robert Mash entitled How to Keep Dinosaurs. It details, quite faux-seriously, the ways in which all sorts of dinosaurs could be kept as house pets. I have decided on a pterodactylus elegans for myself. It is a gliding dinosaur about the size of a cat, and, according to the book, can be found in Germany.
I apologize for the low quality picture. That is quite out of character, I assure you.

An English Manor
I have been recently immersed, dear readers, in a PBS television program by the name of Downton Abbey. I trust you've heard of it, and await your opinions readily.

Gold Rush
If any of my fare readers visit the great Broadway, I would recommend to them a simply fantastic show called "Chaplin". It's going off soon, readers- catch it while you can!

A Clothing Piece to Remember
Shorts with cats on them that also happen to be high waisted are quite an essential for your eclectic authoress this holiday season.
